At our school we believe in improving the quality of learning through regular home learning activities and it is our expectation that parents/carers will support us with this.  Home Learning is given in line with classwork and to support the children’s learning in class.

The work that your child is given is suited to their age, interest and ability. Please choose at least one home learning project each half term; home learning will be given out at the beginning of each half term with the date when it should be handed in.

The children are required to read to an adult at home every night in the week and at least once over the weekend. The adult, who listens to a child read, should then sign their reading diary to acknowledge that they have heard them read.

In addition, the school has subscribed to a number of websites which the children can access to support learning at home. Links are provided below.

Please see your child’s class teacher if you have any concerns about your child’s reading or home learning.
