Selected Year 5 & Year 6 children will attend a special Transport For London themed workshop. The workshop will discuss independent travel in order to help children to feel confident as their independence grows and they move closer to their secondary school transitions.
Congratulations to children participating in the Tottenham University programme. Children will attend a special graduation ceremony at Haringey Sixth Form College and must be wearing full school uniform for the occasion. Parents/carers are welcome to attend and should arrive at the venue for 12.45pm to be seated in good time.
Four mathematicians from Year 5 will attend a special maths challenge at Gladesmore School. During the event they will showcase their fantastic maths skills against children from other local schools. Participating children have now been invited and must wear full school uniform on this day.

A selection of talented children from KS2 will be invited to take to the stage to showcase their hard work, dedication, and musical progress across this academic year. The ELSA study involves a simple finger stick blood test in order to screen children to find out their risk of getting type 1 diabetes. Follow this link for full information leaflet about ELSA. Ms Brown welcomes our families to join us for a special singing performance for children in Year 1 to Year 6. The children have been practising their favourite songs, and learning some new ones. Everyone is welcome: Y1/Y2 at 1pm, Y3/Y4 at 1.40pm and Y5/Y6 at 2.20pm.
Following a number of auditions with Mr Nathan, children from across the school have now been cast to take part in a special end of year production called 'Help! I'm Lost in Paris'. A letter will be been sent home to families with a child in the production - this dress rehearsal will take place after school and tickets for the performance are available to purchase via Arbor.
Wishing the best of luck to our young performers who will attend the LIT’s Got Talent Show. The performance will take place at the London Academy of Excellence Tottenham where several other educational establishments will also perform. Watch this space!
The final production of 'Help! I'm Lost in Paris' is available to families with a ticket. Tickets will be available to purchase from Arbor nearer to the time of the performance with a priority window available to families with a child in the performance - £5 per ticket which includes a plus one. There will be two performances: 9am and 2pm
Children in Year 3 will attend Mulberry Academy for the morning to take part in a special print making workshop. A collection of art created by children in Year 3 and Year 2 will be on display alongside artwork produced by students by Mulberry Academy Woodside. Families are invited to visit the exhibition from 9am - 6pm.
Learning in Tottenham (LIT) is bringing together local schools to present an art show. A collection of art from our school will be included. As part of the celebrations, Year 3 children have been selected to attend the art show and to participate in a special printing workshop at Mulberry Academy Woodside. Children are required to wear full school uniform and will be returning to school in time for lunch.
Year 6 children will take part in swimming lessons on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, until the end of term. Children must remember to bring a swim kit to school for each day that they are swimming. Note that there is no swimming on Thursday 9 June due to the early school closure for Open Afternoon.
By popular request, children in Year 6 will attend St James park for a fun filled afternoon with friends and staff. During their visit they will have an opportunity to explore the park with special geographical and scientific interest. Everyone will enjoy making some final memories together in the run up to their final week at Devonshire Hill.
Children in Year 4 will attend a special workshop with IntoUniversity. The ‘Careers in Action’ Workshop will inspire children to think about their future education and the world of work. This workshop will take place in school.
All children must be collected at 1.15pm on Thursday 9 July to accommodate an informal parents/carers afternoon. This will be an open invitation to visit your child’s classroom, collect their End of Year Report and exercise books - please remember to bring a bag to help you carry the books home.

Following your visit for Open Afternoon, join us for an afternoon of family fun with To 'The Whistle'. Join us on the field at 2pm for the Dance Giants workshop, and to support families who will hold a selection of stalls.
Children in Year 4 will perform alongside a variety of local schools in this Haringey Music Service collective concert. Parents/Carers will be officially invited nearer the time via a ticketing system. Children are required to wear full school uniform including black school shoes. During our recent workshop with Streetz Ahead, children practised dance moves which will be a part of the 'giant flashmob' at Street Fest. All lost property will be available in the front playground and must be collected before the end of term. Any items which have not been collected on the last day of term will be disposed of or donated over the upcoming break.
The Headteacher's Awards, 2026 marks the final celebration with Ms D'Abreu! We can't wait for selected families to join us as we present Devonshire Hill’s most celebrated award! For full information about your participation in this event, please refer to the letter sent to your Arbor app.
Please note that we are requesting a £5 contribution towards the cost of the leavers books.To celebrate the transition from Year 6 into secondary school, children will wear Devonshire Hill graduation gowns and mortarboards in a special graduation assembly - offering the perfect photo opportunity for families. Families with children in Nursery are invited to enjoy a picnic on the school field/March Wood parameter. Please provide a healthy snack for your child to enjoy during this picnic we are looking forward to welcoming lots of parents/carers.
Children will return home and get changed into casual clothes before the party fun begins - courtesy of To the Whistle. Please note that we are requesting a £5 contribution towards the cost of decorations, refreshments and entertainment. Parents/Carers are needed to volunteer with decorating and setting up. The Year 6 end of year production is themed 'Odysseus & The Long Way Home'. Children will perform at 9.30am for all KS2 classes and Year 6 parents/carers. Additionally they will perform in a 2pm production which is exclusively for Year 6 parents/carers. We look forward to welcoming you.
Children in Year 1 and Year 2 will attend a special end of year reading celebration with volunteers from the Chapter One programme. During this special assembly, children will have an opportunity to meet some of the volunteers that they have been reading with virtually over the course of the year. Participants will receive activity books and certificates of achievement.
