Details of events and activities will follow shortly. - ![]() To celebrate Science Week our school will host a Royal Institute (Ri) 'Energy Live' show. This exciting, audience-led demonstration is designed to explore different energy stores, transfers, and sustainability in an age appropriate way. Featuring fiery experiments, such as butane rockets and ethanol fire bubbles, the show aims to educate children and adults about energy concepts and sustainable power generation. Families are invited to attend a special 30 minute community show at 9am. - ![]() As part of World of Work themed activities, Year 6 will attend the London Careers Festival at Guildhall in London. The festival offers opportunities to develop employability skills, meet industry professionals, and explore future career paths through hands-on workshops. Children will travel by public transport, must wear full school uniform and are required to bring a packed lunch. Across two days, children will explore characters from this classic story. Through drama and dance we will examine the thoughts and feelings associated with empathy, friendship and courage. We are asking for all families to contribute £5 towards this event. - ![]() As part of World of Work themed activities, Year 3 will attend the London Careers Festival at Guildhall. The 'You Can Build This City' workshop explores a variety of built environment jobs with Animate Arts and special guests from the engineering industry. Together we will create an urban landscape from paper and cardboard. Children will travel by public transport, must wear full school uniform and are required to bring a packed lunch. Michael Rosen is children's author, poet, presenter, political columnist, broadcaster, activist, and academic, who is a professor of children's literature in the Department of Educational Studies at Goldsmiths, University of London. He has written over 200 books for children and adults. | 1 event, ![]() British Science Week 2026 (06.03.26 - 15.03.26) encourages pupils to be curious scientists by asking questions, testing ideas, and making new discoveries. Each year group will explore a different area of science during their learning time. Experiments will include Skittles diffusion, dancing raisins, volcanic reactions, a bridge building challenge, the egg drop, and chromatography and inheritance investigation. | 0 events, | 1 event, ![]() As part of our World of Work activities children in Nursery and Year 1 will take part in an interactive first aid themed workshop. Children will learn about what happens to their bodies if they are hurt and how they would be treated by a grown up. During our visit, we will learn about fire safety with an opportunity to explore our local fire station, a fire engine, fire fighters uniform. In their classrooms, children will combine hands-on STEM learning with real-world problem-solving, offering a chance to reflect on the skills they’re building, just like engineers in the workplace. We will design and build a LEGO rubbish-collecting machine for the school playground.
