| 1 event,  Due to a decline in use of the school post boxes, children are invited to hand deliver greetings cards to their friends and teachers this year. We advise that all cards are handed out before Monday 15 December to ensure that there is time to exchange greetings cards and take them home. | 1 event, -  Year 1 Amethyst Class will perform in a special sharing assembly for their parents/carers to showcase their most recent learning. Star chart stars will be awarded for all incredible home learning efforts. A printed copy of your child’s Home Learning Passport will be sent home during the first week back, please follow the instructions carefully as most projects are now uploaded as an image to Google Classroom. -  As part of the School Health Surveillance programme, children in Reception will have an eye test by a specially trained Orthoptist. If for any reason you do not wish your child to have this test, please inform a member of staff at the Office. -  Children and staff are encouraged to come to school wearing a festive outfit (suitable for running in) for a £2 donation. Reception to Year 6 will take part in a special Santa themed Daily Mile Run. Donations can be made via the Arbor app or into the donation bucked on the day. -  Families are invited for an afternoon of classroom decorating with their child. Join us for this annual tradition and help to transform the classrooms into a winter wonderland. Please donate any decorations to your child's class. | 2 events,  This December our school will be following a kindness themed advent calendar. Each day, children staff and families are encouraged to take part by following a different act of kindness. Acts can be completed both at home and in school. We are very much looking forward to sharing our talents during our Year 4 trumpet concert, Year 1 to Year 6 singing concert and early years (Nursery & Reception) winter production. Please donate £2 via the arbor app (or when you attend on of our events) in support music & performing arts at our school. | 1 event, -  Children in Year 4 and continuers in Year 5 and 6 have worked extremely hard in their trumpet lessons. To celebrate their efforts, we would like to invite families to a sharing concert where the children will perform some pieces from their repertoire. We hope you are able to join us. | 2 events,  Join us for a special singing performance with children from Year 1 to Year 6 and our singing teacher, Ms Brown. The children have been practising their favourite songs, and learning some new ones. We hope you will be able to join us at the relevant time. -  As part of this year’s celebrations we are fortunate enough to receive funded tickets for children in Year 6 to attend the local Millfield theatre and see Rapunzel & The Revengers. Please note that the show will contain crowd interaction, masks, loud sounds and music as well as strobe lighting. | 5 events,  All children and staff are encouraged to wear a winter themed jumper for this national event in aid of ‘Save the Children’. Jumpers are to be worn over your school uniform for a £2 donation. All donations are payable via the Arbor School Shop or the donation bucked on the day. All funds raised at our annual Christmas Jumper Day event will be shared equally between Save the Children and the DH FUNdraiser. -  Nursery and Reception will perform in a winter production for their families and friends. Please do join us to celebrate our recent achievements as the children sing, dance and act their way through a wintery story. Children in Reception to Year 6 will attend an enchanting performance of the classic tale ‘Beauty and the Beast’. Tickets cost £5 per child which is payable via the Arbor App. - Celebration Assembly will take a break in order to accommodate seasonal activities. | 1 event,  All lost property is available in the front playground and must be collected before the end of term. Any items which have not been collected on the last day of term will be disposed of or donated over the Christmas Break. | 1 event, - Our rainbow raffle hampers are starting to fill nicely! They include fantastic vouchers for family ice skating at Alexandra Palace, a free booking for Dalmage Active Winter Camp and £10 voucher to spend with Vancols. Winners will be announced on Tuesday 16th December from 3.30pm in the Main Hall - we hope you will join us.
