Our school commemorated the story of Stephen Lawrence who lost his life some 26 years ago in April 1993. Stephen’s story shares the importance and value of cultural diversity, it empowers and builds confidence towards challenging discrimination and embracing inclusion. Pupils spent the day learning about the story of Stephen Lawrence through a collection of educational activities aimed at empowering young people to ‘live their best life’. Pupils showed a very optimistic, responsible and socially intelligent response to Ms Olufunwa’s Assembly on the morning of this important day. Remember every individual is important and together we are all amazing!
