Three Haringey schools from the Learning in Tottenham education network were brought together for the very exciting Spurs Short Story competition. There were many fantastic entries from our young writers but there could only be one winner, chosen and announced by children’s author Dan Freedman himself. After an exciting day touring the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and meeting player Dane Scarlett the children waited patiently for the winner to be announced… Congratulations to Skylar (Year 5 Quartz) for her winning entry ‘An Unexpected Day at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium‘. The mysterious twist in her story captured the attention of Dan Freedman, ‘I read this and I thought WOW! The combination…of action, humour, description, imagination. I thought it was the most magnificent story and it deserved to win’. Everyone had an incredible day and the children are very pleased with their goody bags from the event which included a copy of Dan Freedman’s book and THFC merchandise.
