As part of our Summer 2 RE topic, ‘Opening Worlds’, Year 5 will be attending a school trip to Westminster Cathedral and Westminster Abbey. During their visit, the children will learn about the differences and similarities between the two denominations of the Christian faith. As part of their art topic ‘Still Life’, Coral Class will be attending a school trip to the National Gallery. Children will explore the fascinating genre of still life painting with opportunities to observe famous artworks. As part of their science topic ‘Animals Including Humans’, Year 2 will be attending a school trip to London Zoo. During their visit, the children will learn about different animals, their habitat and food chains. Reception to Year 6 will receive a Home Learning Passport for Summer 2 Term. Children must complete and bring to school at least one project by Friday 20 June. Stars will be awarded for incredible home learning efforts. In small groups, Year 6 children will participate in a variety of activities and scenarios from the fire brigade, ambulance service, bike safe and the police. These workshops enable the children to consider how they may safely respond to difficult situations. Full school uniform and a packed lunch is required for this trip.
During World of Work Week children across the school will learn about a variety of careers in an age appropriate way. They will learn about different career options, what they involve and in some cases the relevant education/training required. Four mathematicians from Year 5 will attend a special maths challenge at Gladesmore School. During the event they will showcase their fantastic maths skills against children from other local schools. Participating children have now been invited and must wear full school uniform on this day.

The fantastic Dance Diants participants from Year 5 and Year 6 will celebrate their achievements in an end of year performance at the Bernie Grant Theatre. Additionally 25 places have been made available for selected Year 4 children to attend and watch the performance during the school day. Places will be offered to Year 4 children would like to consider signing up for Dance Giants 2025/26.Year 4 spectators will receive an invitation nearer to the event. Children who have been invited to take part in this year’s Headteacher’s Awards must bring their project into school on Tuesday 1 July. Projects should be taken to your classroom and must be clearly labelled with your name and class. Please note that late submissions can’t be accepted.
Today we wish the best of luck to our terrific trio who will perform at the LIT’s Got Talent Show. The performance will take place at the London Academy of Excellence Tottenham where seven other educational establishments will also perform. Watch this space!

In order to accommodate their World of Work Trip, children in both Ammolite Class and Azore Class will swim on Thursday 3 July. Please ensure that your child has their swim kit in school for this session.
