Children in Year 5 will attend a special IntoUniversity workshop all about ‘What is University?’. Each class will take part in half a day of activities aimed at introducing higher education opportunities. Note children will be required to wear full school uniform, including black school shoes and a waterproof coat for this event. They will have lunch at school.
Year 6 children will attend an interactive webinar that links the World of Work to British Science Week. During the webinar, the Primary Futures team will discuss jobs that use science - think biologists, chemists and much more! Children will have an opportunity to hear from three inspiring volunteers, have stereotypes challenged about what roles in science really look like, and ask a variety of questions across the event.
