As part of our World Book Day celebrations, children in Year 1 to Year 6 will take part in Wizard of Oz themed activities with performing arts company One Day Creative. Across two days, children will explore characters from this classic story. Through drama and dance we will examine the thoughts and feelings associated with empathy, friendship and courage. We are asking for all families to contribute £5 towards this event.
As part of World of Work themed activities, Year 3 will attend the London Careers Festival at Guildhall. The 'You Can Build This City' workshop explores a variety of built environment jobs with Animate Arts and special guests from the engineering industry. Together we will create an urban landscape from paper and cardboard. Children will travel by public transport, must wear full school uniform and are required to bring a packed lunch. They will return to school for 4pm.
