All children and staff are encouraged to come to school wearing odd socks for ‘Odd Socks Day’. On this day we highlight that being unique is important and together we stand against bullying and discrimination. All donations will go towards anti bullying resources for our school. Devonshire Hill is an anti-bullying school. In light of this, we are pleased to announce that we will be highlighting Anti-Bullying Week. The week’s activities will raise awareness of: how to talk about our worries, using a worry box, Anchor values, different types of bullying, how to recognise bullying, how to report bullying, bullying and the law. Children in Nursery to Year 6 are invited to make poppies to bring to school add to our remembrance display. Children in Year 6 will also attend the annual Remembrance Service at our local memorial in Tottenham Cemetery. Year 6 children must come to school in full uniform with a suitable waterproof coat to keep them warm and dry as this event takes place outdoors.
A total of fifteen places have been offered by the London Academy of Excellence for children in Year 4 to attend a very exciting after school Science Club. All remaining places are available to book via the Arbor App>Clubs>LAET Science Club - please note that a permission form must be completed prior to attending the club, this form can be collected from the Main Office.
