Local community plants 1800 trees

We are so excited to have taken part in the Earthwatch initiative which has enabled our local community to plant a total of 1800 trees within Haringey. The children and families at Devonshire Hill were able to plant a selection of native saplings which make up our very own ‘Tiny Forest’.

The aim of this project is to make positive change in response to issues caused by climate change. Our new Tiny Forest offers the perfect opportunity to open conversation and educate our community about the importance of trees for improved air quality, reduction of flooding, support to wildlife and for our own connection with nature.

Thankyou to everyone who came along to support at the planting sessions it was great to see so many ‘green fingered’ helpers.
