Superb Scholarship at Devonshire Hill

Haringey Music Service have selected some very talented children from local schools to start a scholarship and form a band. We are so proud to announce that one of the children offered a scholarship is a Year 5 pupil attending Devonshire Hill Primary School.

The talented young musicians recently came together for their first joint rehearsal of the year and will practise together as a band in the run up to their first performance at the Royal Albert Hall in December.

Ivan tells us ‘I was so shocked and excited, a scholarship is so hard to get. There were three of us, we learned new notes and played jazz music. I played the trumpet and there was also a saxophone and a clarinet’

Congratulations to Ivan and his family, we can’t wait to see him perform on the big stage and look forward to sharing his developments with our community. What a shining example of a Successful Learner.
