Autumn 2 term offers a very exciting opportunity to Year 5 Quartz Class; the children have been learning a new musical instrument since the start of November. Mr Hardy, previously known for teaching Year 3 Ukelele classes, will now also be teaching weekly Steel Pan classes. It has been a very long time since these steel pans sang their beautiful song within the school, and this term they were brought back to life by these very special first lessons. Applying their existing understanding of melody, harmony and rhythm will assist the children to develop their skills on the steel pans. We are confident that with hard work and perseverance The Devonshire Hill Steel Pan Band will be ready to perform very soon!
