Attendance
All children are expected to attend school on time each and every school day. Lateness disrupts lessons for other children – punctuality and attendance are taken seriously at Devonshire Hill.

Absence from School
If children are unable to attend for any reason, parents/carers must telephone the school before the start of school on each day of absence. Please be aware that absence will not be automatically authorised.
When you are uncertain about whether or no your child is too ill for school please follow the advice provided on the NHS webpage: Is my child too ill for school?
During your child’s absence you can support their learning at home by accessing our Home Learning page on the school website which includes a number of useful educational tools.
The school’s curriculum is available on the website under Curriculum Subjects, here you can find a Learning Journey for each subject and for your child’s year group.
If you need to loan a device to support your access to learning, then please do not hesitate to contact the school so that we can arrange this for you.
In the meantime, we wish your child well and look forward to welcoming them back to school as soon as possible.
