Anti-Bullying Week

Friday 7th November 2025

Anti-Bullying Week

Dear Parents/Carers,

Our school is anti-bullying. In light of this, we are pleased to announce that this year we will be promoting Anti-Bullying Week from Monday 10th to Friday 14th November

The theme for 2025 is ‘Power for Good’, our participation will raise awareness to the importance of making a conscious choice to be respectful and supportive of others by only using kind and caring words and actions. During this very important week, children will take part in a variety of age appropriate activities including; odd socks fundraising day, creative lessons, themed reading sessions, open discussions, and a Streetz Ahead anti-bullying assembly and an odd socks fundraising day.

Monday 10th November
Odd socks day | Stand tall against bullying | Wear odd socks to school
Donate £2  – funds raised will be spent towards resources which raise awareness about anti- bullying.

Monday 10th November

Friday 14th November
Pudsey Day – Challenge to 25 – Donate £2
Come to school dressed as a ‘vibrant kindness hero’ and complete a challenge to 25 with your class as a pledge against bullying.

You can find useful information about the Anti-Bullying Alliance on the official anti bullying alliance website: www.anti-bullyingalliance.org.uk/

We also have a number of Personal Social Health Education (PSHE) themed reading books available for parents/carers to loan, these are kept in a special library area outside of the Headteacher’s office. A list of the available books can be accessed school website along with more information about the themes covered: www.devonshirehill.com/our-learning/curriculum-subjects/pshe-rse/

In the meantime our staff continue to take an active approach to supporting the wellbeing of all children by encouraging open conversation about worries, discussing the purpose of classroom worry boxes, enforcing positive behaviour and reinforcing resilience through the Anchor values. Bullying behaviour will not be tolerated.

Our school’s Anti Bullying and Behavior Policy can be accessed on the school website:

Yours sincerely,
Julie D’Abreu | Headteacher
