Dear Parents/Carers,
Now that the warmer weather has arrived, we ask all families to ensure that their child(ren)come to school dressed appropriately and protected from the sun. Please see the below guidance:
Sunhats which protect the neck are strongly advised for playtime, lunchtimes, during outdoor lessons and trips. Suitable suggestions can be seen below and provide more protection than a baseball cap which does not protect the neck:

Sunscreen of a high SPF should be applied to your child’s skin at home in the morning before attending school.
Water is important for hydration, every child should bring a refillable water bottle to school every day. We are a water only school and all water bottles must only contain water. Children can refill their bottles throughout the day and should take their bottle home to be cleaned and refilled each day after school.
School Uniform can be adjusted in line with our School Uniform Policy, swaps may include: short trousers in grey, summer dress in yellow/gold check, PE shorts in royal blue (on PE days).
As always we strongly advise that your child’s name is in all of their clothing, jumpers especially can be easily misplaced when removed due to the warmth.
Sandals are not appropriate footwear for school.
Shaded areas are available in the playgrounds and on the field under the canopies, trees, and along the north facing walls. Additionally we are in the process of sourcing some new parasols which can be added to new and existing seating areas.
Note that children are not allowed to bring any type of hand held or other fan to school.
We thank you in advance for your continued support.
Yours Sincerely,
Julie D’Abreu | Headteacher
