Dear Parent/Carer,
The Year 6 event ‘Party in the Park is due to take place next week:
Date: Thursday 20th July
Time: 3pm – 5pm
Location: Devonshire Hill School Field
‘Pizza and Pop’
During the event children will spend some quality time together making memories with their friends and treasuring their last moments at Devonshire Hill. The Party in the Park is a relaxed occasion with music, pizza and pop on the school field.
Smart/Casual Change of Clothes
All children are invited to bring a change of smart/casual clothes with them to change into at school before the party begins at 3pm.
£8 Contribution
We are asking all families to contribute towards the cost of party food and drink, decorations and the Year 6 Leavers books – please make your contribution via the Parent Mail Shop.
Mobile Phones
In previous years children attending the Year 6 leavers event have asked to bring their mobile phones. On this occasion only, children can bring in their phones for use at this event. All phones must be turned off during the school day and will be put in a secure place until 3:00pm when the event begins.
The school is not responsible for your child’s mobile phone and will not accept any claims of lost, stolen or broken phones etc. It is up to the owner of the phone to have adequate insurance.
Please note children are not allowed to bring their mobile phone to school at any other time.
Parent/Carer Volunteers
We will need support with setting up decorations, distributing food/drink and tidying up after the party. If you would like to volunteer either before, during or after this event please contact your Class Teacher to let them know your availability.
