Dear Parents/Carers,
As part of the Year 4 History curriculum, an educational trip has been arranged for the Year 4 children.
Location: The British Museum
Date: Monday 12th September
Travel: Public transport (bus/underground)
We will be leaving school at 9:15am and returning to school before the end of the school day.
What happens on the trip?
During their visit, children will explore the Ancient Egypt collection at the British Museum. We will investigate artefacts including mummies, oesophagus, canopic jars, hieroglyphs and other fascinating items to help develop knowledge and understanding of Ancient Egypt.
£3.00 Contribution:
We are asking for a £3.00 contribution towards this trip. This will cover the cost of the exciting workshop which will take place at the Museum hosted by a member of the Museum’s special Ancient Egyptology team.
Please note the following:
- Please provide your child with a healthy packed lunch (including a refillable bottle of water). If your child is entitled to free school meals, a lunch will be provided.
- Children must be dressed in full school uniform, including black school shoes.
- A waterproof jacket must also be provided.
