Dear Parents/Carers,
As part of our History and Science curriculum, we will be attending a ‘Dino Dig’ workshop to learn about the museum’s collections, examine fossils and look for clues and evidence about dinosaurs.
Year 3 will be attending a school trip:
Location: Natural History Museum
Date: 21/5/2024
Travel: Bus and Tube
We will be leaving school at 9:00am and returning to school before the end of the school day.
What happens on the trip?
During their visit, the children will participate in a workshop examining fossils to develop their identification skills. Class teachers will also lead their class on a tour around the museum.
Contribution:
We are asking for a £3 contribution towards this trip. This will cover the cost of the workshop.
Please note the following:
- (Y3 – Y6) Children will need a healthy packed lunch and refillable bottle of water for this trip. As all primary school aged children are currently eligible to a free school meal, please confirm by 3/5/24 if you require the school to provide a free packed lunch: https://forms.gle/Pk4otuVydt8we53b7
- Children must be dressed in full school uniform, including black school shoes.
- Please ensure they are also prepared for the current weather. A waterproof jacket must also be provided.
Yours sincerely,
Mr Ellis and Miss Kennedy
