Dear Parent/Carer,
From September 2022 the school will be merging the class your child is in with the partner class to form one class going into Year 3. The reason our school Governors have made this decision is due to the unusually low numbers we have across Year 2. The school accepts 60 children into each year group, making two classes. Currently across Year 2 there are significantly less children, enough to form only one full class.
The children have been working together during this academic year. They are a cohesive year group who learn and play very well together. The school intends to put both classes together across the remaining weeks, for some of the time, as part of our transition process into one class for Year 3.
I will be writing to all parents in the very near future with the allocation of teachers for 2022/23.
