Year 6 – Remembrance Day Service
Dear Parent/Carer,
Year 6 will go on a local visit to attend a remembrance day service with other local Haringey schools:
Location: Tottenham Cemetery
Date: Monday 10th November
Travel: We will be walking to the cemetery
We will be leaving school at 10.15am and returning to school before lunchtime.
What happens on the trip?
During the visit, children will take part in a short remembrance service, singing ‘One more Step Along the World I Go’ together, and observing a moment of silence. The service will offer the chance to reflect respectfully and pay tribute to the service and sacrifice of all who have defended our freedoms.
Please note the following:
- Children must be dressed in full school uniform, including black school shoes.
Odd socks should be discreet or in your school bag to change into. - Please ensure they are also prepared for the current weather. A waterproof coat with a hood must be provided.
