Year 6 – Bruce Castle Museum visit
Dear Parent/Carer,
As part of our history curriculum, Year 6 will be attending a school trip:
Location: Bruce Castle Museum
Date:
Ammolite Class – Wednesday 19th November
Azore Class – Thursday 20th November
Travel: We will be walking to the museum
We will be leaving school at 9.45 am and returning to school before lunchtime.
What happens on the trip?
During their visit, the children will be taking part in a workshop called ‘Vikings – Swords and Shields’ where they will discover the story of the Viking ship believed to have been found in Tottenham Marshes and handle replica chainmail.
Contribution:
We are asking for a £3.50 contribution towards this trip. This will cover the cost of the workshop and associated resources.
Please note the following:
- Children must be dressed in full school uniform, including black school shoes.
- Please ensure they are also prepared for the current weather. A waterproof coat with a hood must also be provided.
