Friday 8th November 2024
Dear Parents/Carers,
As part of our history topic, Year 5 will be learning about ‘Islam in the Early Stages’, in support of this learning we will be attending a school trip:
Location: The British Museum
Date: Monday 18th November 2024
Travel: Public transport – W3 bus & Tube Wood Green to Russell Square
We will be leaving school at 9.00am and returning to school at 3:00pm.
What happens on the trip?
During their visit, the children will be exploring the Silk Road exhibition, where they will explore some artefacts and read information about the early stages of Islam. They will also be exploring the lifestyle of pastoral nomads.
Parent Volunteers Needed – Can you help?
In order for this trip to go ahead we will need eight parent volunteers to join us – you will need an oyster card in order to attend. If you are able to volunteer your support then please speak with your class teacher at the nearest opportunity.
Please note the following:
- Children will need a healthy packed lunch and refillable bottle of water for this trip. As all primary school aged children are currently eligible to a free school meal, please confirm by 11.11.24 if you require the school to provide a free packed lunch: https://forms.gle/Pk4otuVydt8we53b7
- Children must be dressed in full school uniform, including black school shoes.
- Please ensure they are also prepared for the current weather. A waterproof jacket must be provided.
Yours Sincerely,
