Year 5 Trip – Places of Worship
Dear Parents/Carers,
As part of our Spring Term 2 RE topic, ‘Opening Worlds’, we will be attending a school trip:
Location: Westminster Cathedral and Westminster Abbey
Date: Thursday 12th March
Travel: Bus to Turnpike lane and tube to Westminster/Victoria
We will be leaving school at 9.30am and returning to school by around 4.15pm.
What happens on the trip?
During their visit, the children will learn about the differences and similarities between the two denominations of the Christian faith.
Please note the following:
- Children will need a healthy packed lunch and refillable bottle of water for this trip.
As all primary school aged children are currently eligible to a free school meal, please confirm by 02/03/25 if you require the school to provide a free packed lunch: https://forms.gle/Pk4otuVydt8we53b7 – quote ‘RE Trip’ on the form. - Children must be dressed in full school uniform, including black school shoes.
- Please ensure they are also prepared for the current weather. A waterproof jacket must be provided.
