Year 5 Trip – Jade and the Beanstalk
Dear Parents/Carers,
As part of our performing arts and English work, Year 5 Onyx Class will be attending a school trip:
Location: Bernie Grant Arts Centre
Date: Thursday 15th October
Travel: Walking
We will enjoy an early lunch before leaving school at 12:00 and returning to school before the end of the school day.
What happens on the trip?
During their visit, the children will experience a dance performance by Streetz Ahead. The show ‘Jade and the Beanstalk explores grief, loss and hope through dynamic hip-hop theatre and humorous narration. Jade’s imaginative stories offer children an embodied and immersive way to open up conversations about the many different ways we experience and process grief.
Please note the following:
- Children must be dressed in full school uniform, including black school shoes.
- Please ensure they are also prepared for the current weather. A waterproof jacket must be provided.
- All children must have a refillable bottle of water in school to take on this trip.
Yours Sincerely,
Mark Ellis | Year 5 Class Teacher
