Dear Parents/Carers,
As part of our Summer 1 art topic ‘Still Life’, Coral Class will be attending a school trip:
Location: The National Gallery, WC2N 5DN
Date: Tuesday 10 June 2025
Travel: Walking, bus and tube
We will be leaving school at 9:15am and returning to school before the end of the school day.
What happens on the trip?
Our upcoming school trip to the National Gallery will allow children to explore the fascinating genre of still life painting. Students will have the opportunity to observe famous artworks, focusing on aspects like composition, light, colour, and texture, fostering their artistic appreciation and observational skills.
Parent Volunteers:
We are calling some parent/carer volunteers to support us on this trip. If you would be interested to join us then please speak with your Class Teacher at the nearest opportunity.
Please note the following:
- Children will need a healthy packed lunch and refillable bottle of water for this trip. As all primary school aged children are currently eligible to a free school meal, please confirm by 19/5/25 if you require the school to provide a free packed lunch: https://forms.gle/Pk4otuVydt8we53b7
- Children must be dressed in full school uniform, including black school shoes.
- Please ensure they are also prepared for the current weather. A waterproof jacket must also be provided.
Yours Sincerely,
Jacqueline Kennedy | Coral Class Teacher
