Year 3 Trip – The British Museum
Dear Parents/Carers,
As part of our History topic on Ancient Egypt, Year 3 will be attending a school trip:
Location: The British Museum
Date: Thursday 15 October 2026
Travel: Public transport
We will be leaving school at 9.30am and returning to school by the end of the school day.
What happens on the trip?
During their visit, the children will visit the Ancient Egyptian displays and explore a range of artefacts. They will have the opportunity to see objects linked to what we have been learning about in class and develop their understanding of Ancient Egyptian life and culture.
Please note the following:
- Children will need a healthy packed lunch and refillable bottle of water for this trip. As all primary school aged children are currently eligible to a free school meal, please confirm by 23/09/26 if you require the school to provide a free packed lunch: https://forms.gle/Pk4otuVydt8we53b7
- Children must be dressed in full school uniform, including black school shoes.
- Please ensure they are also prepared for the current weather. A waterproof jacket must be provided.
