Dear Parents/Carers,
As part of World of Work Week, Year 3 will be attending a school trip:
Location: New London Architecture
Date: Tuesday 25 June 2024
Travel: Walking and Train
We will be leaving school at 9:00 and returning to school before the end of the school day. Please not that Year 3 will not attend Celebration Assembly on this day and certificates will be given out in class.
What happens on the trip?
During their visit, the children will be learning about the built environment. They will be learning about the architecture which makes London, from the modern to the ancient and how it combines to make our capital city. Students will meet industry professionals at the centre, get the chance to look at scale models of London, and finally re-design their ‘Dream Schools’ and make their own scale models.
Please note the following:
- Children will need a healthy packed lunch and refillable bottle of water for this trip. If you require a free school meal, you should have now booked a school lunch (as per our recent email)
- Children must be dressed in full school uniform, including black school shoes.
- Please ensure they are also prepared for the current weather. A waterproof jacket must be provided.
