Tuesday 14th May 2024
Dear Parents/Carers,
As part of History and Geography, Diamond Class will be attending a school trip:
Location: Cutty Sark, King William Walk, London SE10 9HT – www.rmg.co.uk/cutty-sark
Date: Tuesday 4th June 2024
Travel: public transport
We will be leaving school at 9:00 am and returning to school before the end of the school day. Children will therefore need a packed lunch, details of how to request a free packed lunch can be found below.
What happens on the trip?
During their visit, the children will set sail on an exciting adventure at sea from London on board the world’s last surviving Clipper Ship. Once you’ve picked your bunks and learnt the ropes, settle in for a ship’s supper whipped up by Cutty Sark’s cook, James Robson. Find out what life was like for sailors 150 years ago in this immersive session.
Contribution:
We are asking for a £5.50 contribution towards this trip. This will cover the cost of the workshop. As we are a cashless school, payment should be made via ParentMail: Payments: Shop
Please note the following:
- Children will need a healthy packed lunch and refillable bottle of water for this trip. Please confirm by Monday 20th May if you require the school to provide a free packed lunch: https://forms.gle/Pk4otuVydt8we53b7
- Children must be dressed in full school uniform, including black school shoes.
- Please ensure they are also prepared for the current weather. A waterproof jacket must be provided.
Yours Sincerely,
Slawomir Anisowicz | Y2 Class Teacher & PE and PSHE Leader
