Dear Parents/Carers,
As part of our history curriculum Emerald Class will be attending a school trip:
Location: Bruce Castle Museum: www.brucecastle.org/
Date: Tuesday 12th December
Travel: Walk
Emerald Class will leave school at 9:30 am and will return to school to have their lunch as usual.
Amethyst Class will have lunch at school before they leave for this trip at 12.30pm and will return to school before the end of the school day.
What happens on the trip?
During our visit to Buce Castle, we will attend the ‘Toy Workshop’: ‘Meet our ‘new’, ‘old’ and ‘very old’ teddies and get busy sorting a range of wooden, metal and plastic toys to discover how children’s play has changed over time.’ We will explore life in the past with the opportunity to handle objects as well as ask and answer questions relevant to our current history lessons.
£2.50 Contribution:
We are asking for a contribution of £2.50 towards this trip. This will cover the cost of the workshop.
Please note the following:
- A refillable bottle of water for this trip.
- To be dressed in full school uniform, including black school shoes.
- Please ensure they are also prepared for the current weather. A waterproof jacket must be provided.
