Year 1 – Local Area Fieldwork
Dear Parents/Carers,
As part of our geography unit, ‘Local Area Fieldwork’, Year 1 children and staff will be taking part in a short educational walk around our local community.
Location: Weir Hall Road
Date: Wednesday 30th September 2026
Travel: Walking
We will depart at 1pm after having lunch at school. They will return to school at 1.30pm.
What happens on the trip?
On our journey down Weir Hall Road towards Wilbury Way, the children will explore the local area firsthand. The class teacher will highlight key features along the way to bring our current learning to life. We will return to school using the same route.
Please note the following:
- Children must be dressed in full school uniform, including black school shoes.
- Please ensure they are also prepared for the current weather. A waterproof jacket must be provided.
