Dear Parents /Carers
Last week we held assemblies with a focus on Mental Health and Wellbeing. This coincided with World Mental Health Day. Following on from this, each class from Year 1 to Year 6 will be involved in creating and putting in place a Worry Box in their class where they can write down any worries they may have and put them into the Worry Box. The class teacher will then address any concerns through a Circle Time Activity, or as part of our Personal Social Health Education (PSHE) weekly sessions, or by calling you to share your child’s concern, or by notifying the school designated Safeguarding Team, Ms Bates, Ms Georgiades, Ms D’Abreu. Teachers will approach each worry in a sensitive and professional way.
We hope that by having Worry Boxes in classrooms (previously located in corridors) the children will be able to share with their teacher anything they may be worried about.
All the Worry Boxes will be in place by the end of this week.
