Dear Parents/Carers,
We are excited to share the upcoming schedule for World of Work Week which will take place from Monday 23 June – Monday 30 June.
This fantastic initiative offers an age appropriate insight into the world of work with the aim of inspiring children by providing them with an insight into future career options.
Parent Volunteers:
We are calling for parent/carer volunteers to support us on the world of work week trips. If you would be interested to join a trip then please speak with your Class Teacher at the nearest opportunity.
Please note the following:
- Children attending a trip will need a healthy packed lunch and refillable bottle of water for this trip. Please confirm by 10/06/25 if you require the school to provide a free packed lunch: https://forms.gle/Pk4otuVydt8we53b7.
- Children must be dressed in full school uniform, including black school shoes.
- Please ensure they are also prepared for the current weather. A waterproof jacket must be provided.
World of Work Week Schedule for Nursery to Year 6:
Nursery Workshop Monday 23 June in school activity | ‘My First Job – The Postal Service’ Nursery children will take part in a special themed workshop during learning time at school. |
Reception Workshop Tuesday 24 June in school activity | ‘All Aboard – Highways’ Reception children will take part in a special themed workshop during learning time at school. |
Year 1 Trip Monday 23 June 2025 10.30am – 1.30pm walking on foot lunch required | ‘Emergency Services’ at Tottenham Fire Station, N17 6UE Year 1 children will learn about the importance of fire safety and have the opportunity to explore their local fire station, a fire engine, fire fighters uniform and to spray the fire hose.To find out more about fire services in Haringey visit www.london-fire.gov.uk/community/haringey/ |
Year 2 Trip Sapphire: Monday 23 June Diamond: Tuesday 24 June 9.15am – 12.30pm public transport pizzas will be eaten upon return to school | ‘Community Jobs’ at Lardo Restaurant, E8 3NJ Year 2 children will be introduced to the hospitality sector. They will role play taking orders and have a chance to make their own margherita pizzas. Year 4 Trip Friday 27 June 9.30am – 1pm public transport lunch required | ‘Showcase’ at Guildhall School of Music & Drama, EC2Y 8DT Year 4 children will explore different career paths in the performing arts industry. Year 5 Trip Monday 30 June Quartz 9.15am – 2pm Onyx 11am – 3.30pm public transport lunch required | ‘Ethical Businesses’ at KPMG, E14 5GL Year 5 children will be designing their own ethical businesses and creating presentations for their visit to KPMG. Year 6 Trip Friday 4 July Times TBC public transport lunch required | ‘Tech Masters’ – at Ki Insurance (The Leadenhall Building), EC3V 4AB Year 6 will consider the importance of technology in modern life. During their visit, children will learn about which jobs involve technology and which skills are required to work with technology. Your cooperation is required to ensure that your child is prepared on the day of their trip wearing full school uniform, dressed appropriately for the weather and with a packed lunch – unless this has been requested.
