Dear Parent/Carer,
In preparation for an upcoming whole school poppy project we are collecting clear plastic bottles of all sizes. This is so that we can create a Remembrance Day poppy display on the school field. We particularly need the top and the base of each plastic bottle, if you are able to carefully cut these off (avoiding sharp edges) this would be of great help.
The above image is an example of what we are looking to achieve. If everyone collects at least 2 plastic bottles we will definitely have enough for every child to create a beautiful poppy for the project. If you would also like to make a bottle poppy at home then we encourage you to do so, these can be added to our collection during our poppy ‘planting’ ceremony on Friday 10th November. The more poppies we have the more impressive our poppy field will be.
