Dear Parent/Carer,
Thank you to everyone who took part in our PE Kit survey. Parent feedback is very important to us especially when supporting all children to participate fully in their learning.
PE Kit Survey Results:
The results from the survey are very clear (as seen below) with over 72% of families voting for children to wear PE kit to school on their PE day.
PE Kit to school expectations:
Following this outcome all children are expected to come to school in full school PE kit on their PE day from:
Monday 7th March
Please note, in the same way that school uniform is smart and representative of our school, PE kit must also be smart and represent our school. The added purpose of being suitable for physical/active learning such as in PE should not distract from expectation of smart, presentable children.
Please follow the below guidance:
- PE kit must be appropriate for the weather; ie cold months – joggers not shorts.
- PE kit must be our school kit – branded items and football kits are not acceptable.
- All children must wear a school jumper/cardigan over their school PE kit.
- Year 5 & 6 will still need a change of footwear for lunchtimes on the field.
- PE kit items can be purchased online via our Online Mapac Uniform page: www.mapac.com/education/parents/uniform/devonshirehillprimaryschooln178lb
- If there happens to be a dress up day/ clothing related fundraiser on your child’s PE day they may bring their PE kit to school to change into.
When should my child wear their PE Kit to school:
Mon | Tues | Weds | Thurs | Fri |
Nursery Year 3 | Year 5 | Year 1 | Reception | Year 2 Year 4* |
*Children attending swimming lessons (currently Crystal Class) are required to come to school in their full school uniform.
We thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing all children looking smart in their PE kit on their PE day next week.
