Dear Parent/Carer,
Happy new year and welcome back to our families and staff. We hope that you are returning well rested and ready to start the new term. Please see below a few reminders and a linked list of events for the Spring 1 term. As always please remember to regularly check the school website www.devonshirehill.com and your ParentMail notifications for updates.
TUESDAY 9 JANUARY | Spring 1 First Day – Welcome Back!
Below are a few reminders as we begin the new term…
Punctuality – The gates open at 8:45am, the school day begins at 8:55am. Breakfast club is available to those requiring an earlier start. The school day ends at 3:15pm after school clubs are available to those requiring a later finish time.
Clubs – Breakfast Club, After School Clubs and Booster Clubs will run for the next 5 weeks. Please ensure that you have paid for your club prior to your child attending. After school clubs end at 4.15pm and OKCI club ends at 5.45pm. Families who collect their child late on more than one occasion will be uninvited from attending clubs.
Uniform/Forest School/PE Kit – Children should wear suitable clothing for their daily timetable and for the current colder weather conditions. Please remind yourself of your child’s timetable by visiting the school website: www.devonshirehill.com/about-us/the-school-day/.
School Meals Menu – Olive Dining have provided new menus for Spring Term including a number of exciting event menus which can be accessed here: www.devonshirehill.com/parents/school-meals/
Open Day Tours – During Spring Term we will be holding daily open day tours for prospective families to come and visit our school. If you have family or friends that might be interested in joining our school please encourage them to come along to meet our staff and have a tour.
Wellbeing Hats – Remember to make a beautiful ‘wellbeing hat’ with a powerful message
for our upcoming Great Mental Health Day event. We can’t wait to see your incredible creations!
Parent/Carer Volunteers – If you are available to support any of the events outlined in our Spring Term Calendar please make contact with your class teacher or with a member of staff at the Main Office. Volunteering could include helping out behind the scenes – i.e. putting up decorations, creating hampers for our raffles, organising the library etc or attending an activity in class, event or trip in order to support the staff and children.
