Dear Parents/Carers,
As part of the Topic Curriculum, Year Five will be attending a exciting school trip:
Location: The British Museum, Great Russell Street, London, WC1B 3DG
Date: Wednesday 2 November 2022
Travel: Public Transport – bus and underground
We will be leaving school at 9:00am and returning to school by 3:30pm. Children will return to school before they are released, please ensure you are at the school ready to collect your child.
What happens on the trip?
During their visit, the children will explore the collection of Viking and Anglo-Saxon artefacts and research their lifestyle of people during these times. We will also discuss how Viking history has influenced Britain today. eg. place names, personal names, dialect words and traditions.
Please note the following:
- Please provide your child with a healthy packed lunch (including a refillable bottle of water). If your child is entitled to free school meals, a lunch will be provided.
- Children must be dressed in full school uniform, including black school shoes and have a waterproof jacket with them
- Please ensure they are also prepared for the current weather: eg. woolly hat, gloves.
Yours Sincerely,
Ordene Darby and Daniel Callaghan
