Dear parent/carer,
Unfortunately the school will not be able to provide school meals for nursery children after the Easter Holidays. Starting from Tuesday 22 April, please ensure you provide your child with a healthy packed lunch, in a suitable named container.
The below is guidance as to what packed lunches should and should not contain. Please note we have a number of children in our school with severe allergies and intolerances and therefore foods containing nuts are strictly not allowed in school.
Please note the following:
- foods containing nuts are not allowed
- children are not allowed to share their packed lunch with other children
- Devonshire Hill is a water only school and juice of any sort is not allowed
- all uneaten food and packaging will be returned to you in your child’s lunch box/container so that you know what they have/have not consumed
The children will continue to have fruit and a small carton of milk provided to them daily.
As dairy (milk) is the main cause of intolerance and potential allergic reactions, it is extremely important that the school is made aware of any intolerances/allergies that your child may have.
If your child has a medical dietary requirement then the school should already have been made aware of this. Please let the school know immediately if this is the case for your child.
