Dear Parent/Carer,
As part of our transition programme into KS1, Opal class will join in with Celebration Assembly from this Friday 6th May.
Each week the Class Teacher will select two children who are working well within an area of the Early Years Curriculum. Certificates will be awarded to the selected children during Celebration Assembly each Friday at 9:05am.
When will my child receive an award?
Parents/Carers will be informed of their child’s achievement and invited to join the assembly audience via a ParentMail message prior to the assembly taking place.
Star Charts:
Children will also have the opportunity to receive their Yellow Star Award once they have been awarded 10 stars on their class star chart. Stars will be awarded by the class teacher for good work.
House Points:
Finally each child will be assigned one of our four ‘houses’; Hodgkin, Lynch, Tull, or Wakefield. The class teacher will introduce a new house quality each week in preparation for children receiving points for their house. The eight house qualities are; Curiosity, Generosity, Independence, Initiative, Optimism, Perseverance, Responsibility, Social Intelligence.
We look forward to welcoming you into our assemblies over the duration of the Summer Term and hope that you will be able to join us.
Yours sincerely,
Kelly English
