14.07.2022 – Pendarren Kit List and Payment reminder – Selected Children

Dear Parent/Carer,

I am pleased to be informed that your child will be attending the residential trip to Pendarren House during the week of:

Monday 26th September – Friday 30th September 2022

☐ Outstanding Balance:
Please be reminded that the full remaining balance using the ParentMail app and must be received by Friday 16th September.

Non concessionary rate: £110.00 (save £170)

Concessionary rate:  £82.00 (save £100)
(Free School Meals)

As a reminder your place to attend has been secured with a minimum deposit of £30.

☐ Parent/Carer Consent Form: All children attending must have a parent/carer permissions form returned to school as soon as possible. This form was sent home recently – if you require a new copy then please speak to the Main Office without delay.

Kit List: Overleaf you will find a Kit List so that you can begin to prepare for the trip itself. Also below is a list of items not to bring, it would be very helpful to our staff if you are aware of these items and ensure that these rules are adhered to.

Things not to bring:
Chewing gum (for the same reasons it is not allowed in school!), anything you cannot afford to lose e.g. electronic items, phones, cameras.
Mobile phones – generally not allowed by schools. If they are, they must not be carried by students
during teaching and activity sessions.
Note that Pendarren is equipped to provide waterproof jacket, trousers, walking boots, wellington boots,
wetsuits and other specialist protective clothing as well as rucksacks

Photographs: – a Pendarren camera will be allocated to each group and at the end of the week a DVD of all your school photos will be available to buy. Due to the environment the cameras are used in they do not last long, which is why we request pupils do not bring their own. The Pendarren cameras are purchased by the Friends of Pendarren and any proceeds from the sale of DVD’s goes to the Friends to purchase more resources for visiting pupils.

Kind Regards,
Tina Georgiades | Deputy Headteacher
