Lunchtime Arrangements
Dear parents/carers,
From today, Thursday 10th October, the arrangements for lunchtimes will revert to the previous set up. This means that:
- Reception children (Opal and Pearl Class) will have a freeflow approach whereby they can access their outdoor classroom or the indoor classroom as a free choice
- Year 1 and Year 2 children will be in the front playground
- Year 3 and Year 4 children will be in the back playground
- Year 5 and Year 6 children will be on the field
Although the majority of children have thoroughly enjoyed being on the field, playing with their siblings and generally enjoying being in a large natural space, we have sadly had an increase in a small minority of children being unkind to others, which is concerning. The school is in the process of contacting the parents of the children involved in being unkind.
Please note that Year 5 and Year 6 children will need a change of footwear to access the field as the field can get muddy.
The Year 1, 2, 3 and 4 children do not need a change of footwear for lunchtimes as they will no longer be going onto the field.
Please make sure your child has a waterproof coat with a hood as children will still be going outside on (light) rainy days. You may wish for your child to keep a pair of wellington boots in school to change into for ‘splashing in puddles.’
We will notify Year 1 and Year 2 parents when we can reopen the trim trail in the front playground for use.
