Friday 19th July 2024
Dear Parent/Carer,
As we approach the end of the summer term, I write with some details of the last two days of term and to wish you all a safe and healthy summer holiday break.
Final Days of Summer Term – Monday 22 & Tuesday 23 July
During the last two days of the summer term, children should come to school in comfortable active wear. Children will be spending lots of time outside enjoying outdoor activities on the field as well as the inflatable obstacle course (R – Y6). Note, there are no class parties this term.
Children should be prepared for the expected weather conditions which includes wearing suncream, a sun hat and having their refillable bottles of water.
The final day of the Summer Term is: Tuesday 23 July at 3.15pm
Farewell to Year 6
To all our Year 6 Children who are going to be embarking on their next chapter in the ‘great book of lifelong learning’… I wish you all well as you transition to secondary school. I’m sure you will carry with you very fond memories of your time at Devonshire Hill and I am confident that you will go on to be Successful Learners in Year 7 and beyond.
September 2024
Children in Nursery and Reception will have a staggered start back and each family will have now been notified of the start date for their child.
The school will be closed to all families on Monday 2nd September to accommodate an INSET day where staff will prepare for school opening.
We will update our website across the summer holidays with any important information, so please make sure you regularly check at www.devonshirehill.com
On behalf of myself, the staff and the school Governors, have a lovely summer and we look forward to welcoming you all safely back to school on Tuesday 3rd September ready for Autumn Term learning.
Yours sincerely,
Julie D’Abreu | Headteacher
