High Heat Alert
Dear Parent/Carer,
As you are aware, during this period of extreme heat there is currently a Red alert high heat warning in operation from Tuesday 23rd June.
The school will remain open this week with measures in place to support pupil and staff wellbeing during these very hot conditions. We will monitor the situation carefully and make adjustments as needed. Windows and doors will be open to encourage a cooling draft throughout the school and children can come to school in loose comfortable (non-uniform) clothing. PE lessons are postponed for the time being to avoid overheating.
Parents/carers are asked to bring their children to school as normal – please note that the school is closely following hot weather guidance as set out by Haringey Council.
Please ensure your child/ren arrive at school with a full water bottle, with a sun hat and having had sun protection cream applied. This will help us all work together to ensure that everyone remains comfortable despite the warm weather.
Yours Sincerely,
Julie D’Abreu – Headteacher
