Dear Parent/Carer,
Your child has been selected to represent Devonshire Hill in a Haringey Schools Cycling League event.

What will Happen at the event?
The Haringey Schools Cycling League is a series of varied rounds which includes timed track and static cycling events to earn points in a league of friendly competition with 6 other Haringey schools. The first event is an individual hill climb where riders will be timed cycling a short uphill path; the quickest riders are awarded the most points. All riders will be coached on brakes, gears and control skills before the timed ride.
We will be leaving school at 12.45pm and returning to school at 3.30pm. Children will have an early lunch prior to departing.
Parent/Carer Volunteers: We are looking for parent/carer volunteers to join us on the day – please contact the office if you are available to support from 12.45pm – 3.30pm.
Please provide your child with the following:
- A full school PE kit including trainers
- A cycling helmet where possible (some will be available to loan if needed)
Note: Bikes will be provided at the event - A refillable bottle of water and a healthy snack to have after the event
- Please ensure they are also prepared for the current weather ie. jumper & raincoat
You must return the permission form no later than Thursday 2 October 2025 – your child will be unable to take part without a completed form.
