Create a Hat for Great Mental Health Day 👒🎩 – £2 Donation
Dear Parent/Carer,
All families are encouraged to take part in our upcoming celebrations for Great Mental Health Day 2025.
This year will be our third year celebrating this event, which highlights the importance of wellbeing and looking after our mental health. This initiative originally began in Haringey and is now acknowledged across London.
To help raise awareness we are asking all children to create a beautiful hat with a powerful wellbeing message. Everyone should wear their hat to school on:
Friday 24 January (ahead of the official GMHD on 31/01/24).
Inspiration for your hat:
It’s time to apply your creativity and imagination for a great cause. Your hat can be made from any materials that you choose, upcycling is encouraged. To help get you started we have included some theme examples below:
- Promote positive thinking
- Celebrate individuality
- Encourage an active & healthy lifestyle
- Represent memories and happiness
- Offer kindness and motivation
- Tell a story of hopes and dreams
- Generate laughter or make someone smile
- Be vibrant and bold
What’s next?
✅ Create a beautiful hat at home with your family
✅ Your hat should be imaginative with a powerful and positive wellbeing message
✅ Clearly write your name and class on the inside of your beautifully crafted hat
✅ Wear your hat to your school for our GMHD hat parade on Friday 24 January 2025
✅ Please remember to donate £2 via the ParentMail App or into the collection bucket
