11.07.2022 – End of Year Reports

Dear Parents/Carers,

Over the course of this week, you will receive an end of year report for your child(ren) via ParentMail. In the report you will be able to see how well your child has achieved against the National Expected Standard for their age in reading, writing, mathematics & science.  You will also be able to see their progress made over the last year for the same subjects. Your child’s class teacher has made a teacher assessment of their attainment across the National Curriculum Programme of study in all the other subjects taught.

If your child has met the National Expected Standard in reading, writing, mathematics and science, then we would expect your child to continue to do so throughout their education. With aspiration and support from you to deepen their learning, achievement of the Greater Depth Standard is possible.

If your child has not met the National Expected Standard for their age in reading, writing and mathematics they will receive additional support in the form of tuition from September 2022 to enable them to ‘catch up’.  This will involve more support from home and may also mean that your child will be invited to attend before/after school ‘Booster classes’.  The school runs a number of interventions during the school day but attending the additional Booster classes has a significantly positive impact for your child’s learning based on the progress made by the children who attended this year.

The school is delighted to share with you our end of Primary School (KS2) National test results, whereby you can see that our school has significantly outperformed schools nationally. I’m incredibly proud of our year 6 children who have done so well in what has been a very challenging and difficult few years for them as their education was so very interrupted by the Coronavirus pandemic. The teachers have worked tirelessly to ensure the very best education for your children whether it was in person or remotely during this time.
