Dear Parents/Carers
You should now be in receipt of your child/ren’s end of year report via ParentMail. In the report you will be able to see how well your child has achieved against the National Expected Standard for their age in reading, writing, mathematics and science. You will also be able to see their progress made over the last year for the same subjects. Your child’s class teacher has made a teacher assessment of their attainment across the National Curriculum Programme of study in all the other subjects taught.
If your child has met the National Expected Standard in reading, writing, mathematics and science, then we would expect your child to continue to do so throughout their education. With aspiration and support from you to deepen their learning, achievement of the Greater Depth Standard is possible.
If your child has not met the National Expected Standard for their age in reading, writing and mathematics they will receive additional support in the form of tuition from September 2023 to enable them to ‘catch up’. This will involve more support from home and may also mean that your child will be invited to attend before/after school ‘tutoring’ classes. The school runs a number of interventions during the school day but attending the additional tutoring classes has a significantly positive impact for your child’s learning based on the progress made by the children who attended this year.
KS2 Results are delayed this year due to the additional bank holiday and will be published on 11th July, we will write to you again with your child’s results.
