Devonshire Hill Awarded £150,000 Nursery Capital Grant

Thursday 21 May 2026

Dear Parents/Carers,

We have some very exciting news to share with our families and the wider local community!

Devonshire Hill has recently been awarded a £150,000 Nursery Capital Grant from the Department for Education.  You may have already noticed some changes starting to take place as part of our transformational nursery plans. Our new provision will deepen our Froebel principles by championing the power of nature, community and outdoor play in early childhood development.

Exciting grant upgrades will include:

🏃‍♂️ Improved Outdoor Play Zones with vibrant new flooring, perfect for active running, playing, and exploring.

🎨 A Colourful Canopy bringing rainbow coloured overhead panels that provide essential shelter and colour for our outdoor activity zone.

🌸 Plant and Wildlife Area using additional funding, from a separate Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Nature Park grant, we are creating a brand new plant and wildlife area which will offer even more connection with nature – this is a fantastic addition to accompany our on site woodland, March Wood.
