Dipping Pond Challenge!
Dear Parent/Carer,
We are excited to announce our Dipping Pond Challenge!
Our school will soon be building a brand-new dipping pond, and we would love for the children to help design it. The challenge is for each child to draw their own dipping pond design to show how they think it should look.
What children need to do:
- Draw a sketch of a dipping pond on A4 paper.
- Label the important parts (for example: plants, rocks, safety fence, seating area).
- Write 2–3 sentences explaining why their design is good for wildlife.
Children can think about what animals and plants might live there, how to make it safe, and how to make it fun and creative.
Prizes:
- 1st Place: Certificate and a science book.
- Runners-up: Certificates.
Deadline:
All designs must be handed to Miss Abdi by morning registration on Friday 14 November.
