December Events
Whilst we have had to reduce our December events calendar due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, I’m pleased to advise that there are still some traditions that we can continue with – see below:
Classroom Decorating: The children will decorate their classrooms (in their bubbles) but parents will not be able to help this year. Pictures will be uploaded on the website so you can see what a wonderful job the children have done.
Christmas Jumper Day: This year’s national event in aid of ‘Save the Children’ will be held on Friday, 11th December. The children always enjoy the chance to wear a Christmas themed jumper to school – it’s a great opportunity for them to decorate an old jumper in their own style. Please note children still need to wear their uniform on that day, eg polo shirt and skirt or trousers. Parents and Carers are asked to provide their child with a £2 donation.
Christmas Lunch: Our catering team will be busy preparing traditional Christmas lunch on Friday 11th December for children and staff to enjoy. The cost of lunch for those children not receiving free school meals, is £2.30.
End of Autumn Term Seasonal Party: After a long and uncertain year, we are pleased to be able to treat our children to a class party on Friday 18th December, the last day of Autumn term. Children can come to school in their party clothes and the school will provide entertainment and food for them to enjoy safely in their bubbles. Please note that school will finish at the usual times.
Christmas Cards: Christmas cards can be brought in for children in your own child’s class. They should be brought to school no later than Friday, 11th December to allow for them to be given out on Monday 14th December. You will not be allowed to send in cards after this date.
